Joe Townsend joined the Earth View team in 2014 as a summer intern, and in a few years quickly progressed to EV’s first Horizontal Directional Drill Operator. He now operates both the Ditch Witch JT-100 and the American Auger DD-440T rigs, along with overseeing multiple HDD projects at a time and representing EV in meetings with customers, engineers, and owners. Joe’s focus is to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to and implementing jobsite safety regulations for himself and for the crew. With several years of industry experience and safety training, Joe is a valued member of the EV team. Joe is Butt Fusion certified for large and mid-range diameter pipe up to 48”, and has played a lead role in several multi-million dollar projects for EV. These projects include, but are not limited to: the Fripp Island US-21 Water Main Relocation, the Collier Blvd. & Golden Gate Canal 36” HDD, Immokalee Road & Collier Blvd. Interchange & Utility Upgrades, and the NCWRF 24” Irrigation Water Main.
