41st Street Water Main Replacement

Close coordination with the FDOT, City Right-of-Way, City Building Department, DERM, the Mayor’s Office, and local businesses was critical to keeping residents and nearby establishments informed throughout the work. This collaboration, along with careful planning by contractors operating in an extremely high-traffic area, was essential to the project’s success.

Project Overview

This project involved installing a new 20” water main to replace an existing 16” aerial crossing, upgrading outdated water utility infrastructure in the area. It also facilitated the abandonment of existing pipe in place to accommodate a future FDOT bridge rehabilitation project. The scope included a 930 LF directional drill beneath a bridge and approximately 350 LF of ductile iron pipe installation via open cut.
